Melograph : draw music easily! app for iPhone and iPad

Melograph allows everyone to express creatively by drawing music with simple and intuitive gestures: just swipe your fingers on the screen to play melodies or simply tap the screen to play notes and chords !

This iPad application allows children or people with disabilities to express themselves, have fun and marvel at unknown abilities and generally ignored creative potential. Within reach of all, this innovating audiovisual expression allows to generate new communicative channels with oneself and with others. Thanks to Melograph, everyone, regardless of their psychomotor, cognitive, technical or theoretical abilities, can be surprised to play as a virtuoso, and therefore feel listened to, valued and more confident.

This application was developed in collaboration with the children hospitalized at the Necker Hospital (Paris, France) and at the Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, Maryland), with the generous support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and Art dans la Cité .

However, you can have more precise control over your creations and compose more personal works by unlocking the full version of this app via in-app purchase.

With the free version, the colors (the different mixes of stars) and the notes (the harmonic progression and the arpeggios) automatically and randomly changes:
-Each time you slide your finger across the screen
-When sliding, if you add or remove one or more fingers
-If you wait more than half a second after playing a chord or a simple note (by simply touching the screen with one or more fingers, without sliding it).

The full version of Melograph offers an infinite range of musical and visual possibilities, including the possibility to control this harmonic progression by means of 6 colored (according to the corresponding mix of stars) annotated buttons (with the number of the degree and the name of the chord).

You can also select the musical mode (major or minor), change the key signature, choose which notes are played for each musical degree (add the fourth, sixth or seventh in addition to the tonic, third and fifth) and select different instruments.

You can also record musical loops: Play some chords (1st loop), give the iPad to your child, and here it is that he improvises in harmony with your structure in a great musical duo!

You can then save your song, replay it later, and if you wish, modify it by adding other musical loops, vary the harmonic structure, etc.

You will also be able to create your mixes of stars, adjusting their size, speed of movement and lifetime.

You can also switch to drawing mode: The stars do not move and disappear, ideal to write your name, draw a flower or a landscape.
